Holiday Cookie Dough Treat
In this video I explore another option to snacking and having sweets during the Holiday Season that are good for you. This is one of the easiest recipes because you can’t really mess it up. As you prepare this recipe you literally make the dough as thick or smooth as you choose and its ready to eat within 15 minutes of completion.
Gluten free/ NO GMO / Plant based Protein
Powder Holiday Cookie Dough Coconut Ball
(Makes approximately 12 med size balls)
INGREDIENTS:
8 Tbsp IsaLean Vanilla Chai ( or choice of your protein powder) **
3 Tbsp of Coconut Flour Pinch of Sea Salt
6 Tbsp of unsweetened applesauce
3/4 tsp Butter extract 3 tsp of almond milk
1-1/2 tbsp of dairy free chocolate chips
OPTION: COCONUT FLAKES (about 1 cup dusted on a sheet of parchment paper)
STEPS
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the protein, coconut flour and sea salt
- Add in the applesauce, almond milk and butter extract. *Stir until fluffy and mixed. This is where your consistency will vary contingent on the protein powder used. it might be thicker than expected. This particular protein powder I have found to be one of the best.
- Stir in the chocolate chips and form the dough into balls. You can then roll the balls in the coconut flakes for an added touch. Refrigerate for 10-15 minutes and you are ready to eat. Keep refrigerated in tight glass container as they will dry fast, depending on the type of protein powder used.
